On November 26, 2015 United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) in collaboration with the NGO-UNESCO Liaison Committee and representatives of the Framework Convention of United Nations on Climate Change published a joint declaration on climate change.
The declaration is the result of an annual actions of all, including representatives of the NGO-UNESCO Liaison Committee, where Sozopol Foundation is actively participating. During its activity, the working group defined the topics that are enshrined in the Declaration and then created a platform for online consultation through which to receive feedback on the content of the document. Bulgarian non-governmental organization, as an official partner of UNESCO, signed the declaration and again expressed its determination to continue its activities for achieving, maintaining and developing the objectives and priorities of UNESCO.
Active work of those engaged in the topic led to organizing of a day of action of the NGO sector on climate change. In the international event held in October, attended 70 representatives from over 30 countries, among which was Sozopol Foundation.
Sozopol Foundation reiterated its readiness to cooperate for the development of NGO and civil sector. As of December 1st the Foundation disseminated the signed declaration among all partners and friends with whom it is working.
