“Providing an accessible environment for the local population and tourists, including the elderly and people with disabilities, to the Cultural Center” in the National Archaeological Reserve “The Ancient City of Apollonia”.

Execution period: 2016 ÷ 2019 years. Value of project activities – BGN 264 692.85. Funded by the Sozopol Foundation through donations from individuals and legal entities.
On the basis of a prepared and coordinated technical project with: Ministry of Culture; National Institute for Immovable Cultural Heritage, Regional Inspectorate for Environment and Water – Bourgas; Transnational energy company (EVN) – Burgas; “Water Supply and Sewerage” EAD – Bourgas; Sozopol Municipality and a building permit issued by the municipality of Sozopol is executed the central entrance of the complex from the main street of the National Archaeological Reserve “The Ancient City of Apollonia” – Apollonia Street, through a watch tower dated from IV – XII century, part of the fortress system the reservation.

The enclosed drawings with input distribution and input space of a coherent technical design clearly show the significance of the object.

This is a unique solution that has no analogue in the European Union. Globally, there are several such solutions for approaches that combine history and present in a wonderful, functional way.

Complex architectural structures and artifacts from the 3rd century BC to the present day have been discovered and exhibited in the archaeological excavations. All of this is shaped appropriately so that the guests of the Cultural Center can touch and familiarize themselves with the centuries-old history of Apolonia – Sozopol.
