On January 22 this year in Turin was held the Third International Meeting on project Smart Tourist Routes for Inclusive Groups – STRING. The initiative is a continuation of the long-standing cooperation of the League of Historical and Accessible Cities at the European Foundation Centre. The aim is to make tourism products suitable for access and use by clients with special needs as well as through common practices and so through the introduction of innovative tools (coupon-box).
Mr. Miroslav Slavov, expert international projects at Sozopol Foundation, participated in the meeting. He made a brief presentation on the activities and results achieved by the Foundation.
On the forum was discussed the details of the project implementation. Best practices adopted by the partners were shared in order to draw up a guide for assessing of existing facilities for people with disabilities in the cities of Avila, Turin and Sozopol.
The next project meeting is scheduled for the end of June 2015. It will be devoted to drawing up a strategy on promotion of the project activities and it will be held in Avila.
