Implementation period: 2003 ÷ 2004 years. Value of the implemented project activities – EUR 345,871.00. Phare funded to the European Union. Project implementation resulted in creating a sustainable tourist product on the territory of Ancient Town of Apollonia Archaeological Reserve in the town of Sozopol, District Bourgas. The project contributed to the economic and social development of local residents by improving the use of the cultural heritage of the Republic of Bulgaria, located in the municipality of Sozopol. Segments of the southern wall and watchtower dating back to the 4th – 14th AD were restored, conserved and promoted under the project. A designated washroom for people with disabilities was constructed. An appropriate infrastructure going along the Southern Panoramic Alley Street to allow public access, including people with disabilities, to the preserved cultural sites was put in place.
