History does not have enough data and documentary evidence about the Bulgarian Revival era. Due to the absence of state and national institutions for a long time, the existence of personal collections, tribal archives, due to the vicissitudes of fate of the monasteries and old book depositories, as well as the export of archival materials, especially in the liberation of the Bulgarian lands, the historiography deals with a limited amount of springs scattered through multiple and incomplete personal funds or collections of Bulgarian schools, municipalities and other public institutions.

Currently in Bulgaria has not prepared and executed such detailed project in the field of cultural heritage about the history and architecture of the Bulgarian Revival period. Everyone will be able to use the information from the project both as text part and visualization through the created and organized innovative, interactive, permanent and traveling thematic art exhibition. Moreover – the open format of the exhibition that will allow constant additions to be made and also the opportunity to fill the gaps on this topic.

Such a project with a sharp cognitive objective will lead to greater public interest in this historical era and the period of the Bulgarian Revival in general. This will change the outlook of many people, as well as expansion of the offered information by the public for the project.

The Project will apply for funding from the EEA Financial Mechanism.
